2011 Suburban League Qualfier Rules
NAFA Rules will be used with the following exceptions:
All Age Groups
· On deck batters may be placed to the back of the batter for safety purposes.
· Home team will be determined by ball roll.
All 10U, 12U, and 14U B/C teams are required to bat the roster for league qualifier play. Courtesy runners may be used for the pitcher, catcher or an injured player. Courtesy runners are the last out, or the last player due to bat this inning if no outs.
14UA and all 16U and 18U teams will bat 9 with the DP/Flex rules.
10U All Levels:
· 5 Runs per inning. This will hold through the MMFL State tournament.
· 35’ pitching distance
C Level Only
· Runners may only advance one base on a steal attempt
· Runners may advance one base on overthrow except home
· Runners may not steal home
· Batters may attempt first on dropped 3rd strike
· Runners may only advance home on a live, batted ball; or when forced by a walk/hit batter/defensive interference with bases loaded. They may not advance home on an overthrown pickoff attempt, nor on an out of play ball which was not a batted ball. They may also not advance home on a dropped third strike with bases loaded; in this instance the batter is out.
12U
· 40’ pitching distance
14U/16U/18U
· 43’ pitching distance
· DP/FLEX rosters
· 14 B and C only, Bat the Roster rule exceptions will be used.
16U/18U
· May wear metal cleats
